This is a brand new 1941 1942 1943 1944 1945 1946 1947 1948 Chevy passenger car STEEL gas tank and the Matching 0-30 Ohm Rated Sending Unit.
This tank features:

Alloy Steel for Maximum Rust Protection

3/8" NPT Internal pickup tube in the stock location
Has a fuel drain plug
Includes mounting straps, gaskets and O-ring sealed screws
When using the 48-CG and 48-CGX tank with a GPA series pump a 3/8" NPT pipe plug will be needed to block off the internal fuel tank pickup tube.

The New 5 Bolt Hole Sending Unit is for Use with Pre-1964 GM Fuel Gauges, and the
ohm rating
of this sending unit is 0 ohm - 30 ohm (0 ohm is empty, 30 ohm is full)
This sending unit will not work with 1965 and newer GM Gauges.
Includes five special o-ring bolts and mounting gasket.
The sending unit mounts with five mounting screws. It works on fuel tanks from 6 to 24 inches deep by cutting to length using the instructions included. Since fuel tank senders only read resistance to ground they work on all 6-24 volt systems positive or negative ground. They do not have a fuel pickup tube built into them as some original senders may have.  Made with a high quality ceramic board rheostat.
There are always exceptions. Please check double check your ohm rating before ordering. The resistance of your fuel sender should match that of your gauge. We do have other sending units available.
