1973-1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40 "16.5" gallon plastic fuel tank under the passengers seat.
Direct replacement under seat tank for 9/1973 to 12/1978
. Fuel pickup tube is installed on the
top
of the tank. Includes new 5 hole sending unit gasket. Approx. dimensions: 27"(filler neck side) x 19 1/4"(sending unit side) x 22" (front to back angled ends).

Warranty
This tank is covered by a five year warranty. MTS polyethylene gas tanks are warranted to the original purchaser for a period of five years from the date of purchase. We will replace any tank shown within five years from the date of purchase to be defective in materials or workmanship. No other warranty is made or expressed or implied. Our liability shall be limited to the cost of replacing the tank. No labor cost, loss, expense or lost opportunity suffered or incurred by any person or entity directly or indirectly arising from the use of any of our products is included or covered by this warranty. Parts other than tanks supplied by MTS Company, L.C. are covered by the above terms except that the period of coverage shall be one year. The use of any tank or other part on a vehicle other than the model it was designed for voids this and any other warranty coverage and is neither recommended nor encouraged.
This tank is also covered by a lifetime warranty against rust. MTS polyethylene gas tanks are guaranteed against rust through of the tank for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which it was originally installed.
Payment
We accept all forms of PayPal payments. We ship to the verified address specified with the Paypal payment. Payment must be received within seven days unless special arrangements are made. Once we receive your payment, your order will be processed and shipped.
Shipping
We ship fuel tanks to the continental US (lower 48 states) via FedEx and Spee Dee Delivery to these Midwestern States: Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota(limited), Nebraska(limited) and the St. Louis, MO area. Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. After your order ships, we will send you an e-mail with a tracking number for your order. If you pay via Paypal, we will attach the tracking number to your Paypal payment.
Our shipping rate is valid only for the continental United States (lower 48 states). If you need an order shipped outside the continental US, please use our shipping rate calculator or contact us for a shipping quote.
Parts in stock
Our goal is to have enough parts in stock so there will never be an issue of us being out of stock on any certain part. But occasionally, we do run out of stock on parts. Sometimes this is due to a manufacturer not supplying us enough parts, or in the case of popular parts they can sell out very quickly and we do not have anymore in stock at that time. If you order a part and we discover it is not in stock, we will send you an e-mail notifying you, and give you the option of waiting for a restock or getting a refund.
