Mulberry paper or "Saa paper" (as called in Thailand) is a kind of paper which is made from natural fiber of the mulberry plant.  The pulp is dyed using natural pigments of flowers, and other natural materials can be added before the sheets are dried under the sun. It is durable and attractive because it is handmade and eco-friendly. The manufacturing of handmade papers is achieved largely by manual labor and, therefore, production is of limited quantity.  There are many colors and designs which are special and different from general papers. Mulberry paper is very popular for creating cards, a popular pastime in Thailand.
