From My late Uncle's Collection of Electronics, Vintage Stereo / Hi-Fi, Test Equip, Speakers, Parts & Accessories is this very impressive Reel to Reel from Akai model GX-747dbx. This component has been sitting unused for several years and needs to have the tension arm belts replaced. My Uncle purchased the belt kit & was planning to replace them himself but then he simply ran out of time. It does however play & record well in both directions, as well as FF & RW. Picture #1 clearly shows the machine playing one of his tapes. So when presently using the machine, it needs to be powered-off when threading the tape from one side to the other. Its in excellent condition cosmetically having no issues. Check-out all the pictures and judge for yourself. Please note, this machine comes with no tape, reels or owners manual. It Does however come with the Large Reel adapters and Belt Kit that he purchased. Anyway, this is hefty component and it will be very carefully packed for shipping in a large heavy duty box.
