    USED AMPEX 300-3 1/2" 3-TRACK HEAD BLOCK
    This head block was installed in an Ampex 300-3 that I purchased from audio engineer Bernie Grundman and Classic Records owner Michael Hobson back in the 90s. I had planned to have the tape recorder restored but never got around to it.
    Ads for the Ampex 300 tape recorder itself, an Ampex Sel-Sync unit, two meter bridges and a roll-around cart will be posted soon. The amplifiers have already been sold.
    I recently sent photos of the head block to John French of JRF Magnetics and he told me it looked good, just needed a couple of springs for the cover.
    It needs some spit and polish too, and the heads should be re-lapped of course, but other than the missing springs all the parts are there - including the long cables.
