    I have a very old Stanley No.153 Spokeshave for sale. This shave has the older shield New Britain logo on the iron. The logo is set face down when the shave is set bevel up. I assume this is correct as it allows you to adjust the the throat vs bevel down which makes the throat to tight. This is a nice old shave with a lot of life left in the iron and pretty good japanning... I am not sure of the age, but its an old guy and collectable. Thank you for looking.
