The B & G Sprayer check valve need replacing from time to time.
When the PV266 valve becomes weak or swollen, the sprayer cannot be pressurized properly.
The check valve allows the operator to pump air into the tank, pumping the plunger up and down until tank is pressurized.
A weak or damaged check valve will not allow the tank to be pressurized properly and will also allow liquid contents of tank to be pulled up into the brass pump cylinder.
Many sprayer malfunctions can be prevented simply by replacing the check valve twice a year.
The stem of the check valve is 1/4 inch across and is what fits in the hole at the bottom of the B&G pump cylinder.  The diameter of the entire circle on the valve is about 7/8 of an inch across.
