c1890s NY Tower & Lyon Uniform Button POLICE. Metal, two piece it appears. I was sold this as a 19th century button.
Unsure what PD used this.
After some research, I found, "
Tower & Lyon was a tool maker in New York city, active between 1884 and 1916."
