Tools Needed
To use Bifen I/T you will need either a hose end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or skid sprayer. For small household jobs, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a 4-gallon backpack sprayer. If Bifen I/T is being used for termite control by trenching, a shovel or dirt removal tool and a wheelbarrow will be needed.
How To Use
Step 1:
Fill up the spray tank half way with water and the add Bifen I/T at a rate of 0.12 to 2 ounces per gallon. The mix rate depends on the level of infestation and the targeted insect. When used for trenching, remove soil with shovel or other appropriate tool and place the dirt in the wheelbarrow.
Step 2:
Add the rest of the needed water to the spray tank and mix or agitate well. It is suggested to shake or mix a pump sprayer periodically to ensure an even application and to ensure the sprayer does not get clogged. When used for trenching, add 4 gallons of 0.06% diluted solution per 10 liner feet, 1 foot deep in the wheelbarrow and mix well.
Step 3:
Make crack and crevice treatments indoors and broadcast sprays or cracks and crevice treatments outdoors. Stay off treated areas until dry, this includes pets. When used for trenching, place the treated soil back into the trench.
Step 4:
When used as an insecticide spray, quarterly re-applications can be made for preventative measures. When used for trenching, the residual effects will last for up to 5 years.
