    The YB60 competed with Boeings B-52 for a shot of America's heavy long range bomber.  Develop from the fuselage of the Convair's B-36 heavy propeller bomber the YB-60 plane lost out to Boeing's entry which got the government contract became the B-52.   Only one was built.
