Description

The firewall cylinder cart is a heavy duty cart for job site and industrial applications. All steel construction with a dual steel firewall with a ceramic insulator and 2 lifting eyes. It also has a lockable toolbox and dual cylinder clamps. The 16" semi-pneumatic wheels roll over the roughest terrain with ease, making it ideal for rough construction site and will not go flat. It hold oxygen and fuel gas cylinders from 80-300cf.
Firewall Protection: A firewall cylinder cart is designed to restrict a flame generated from one welding fuel gas cylinder adjacent to one oxygen cylinder on the same cart. Coplay Nostar firewall carts fall under OSHA standard 1910.253 (b)(4)(iii) Section 1926.350 (a) OSHA Standard requires gas cylinders to be stored in compliance with its prescribed criteria when a gas cylinder is considered to be in storage. The standard sets requirements for gas cylinders in storage. To be properly stored, the employer must meet all requirements of 1926.350(a). One of those requirements is 1926.350(a) (10): Oxygen cylinders in storage shall be separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5m) high having a fire resistance rating of at least one half hour. NFPA 51 2-4.3 - Oxygen cylinders in storage shall be separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease) by a minimum distance of 20 ft. (6m) or by a barrier of noncombustible material at least 5 ft. (1.5m) high having a fire resistance rating of at least 1/2 hour. The barrier shall interrupt all lines of sight between oxygen and fuel-gas cylinders within 20ft. of each other.
