    Description

    A map & guide for Pyramid Lake, the 190-square mile remnant of Lake Lahontan, which was a vast inland sea that covered much of Nevada 12,000 years ago. Located 40 miles northeast of Reno (anyone driving to Burning Man from California passes by it on the way up to the Black Rock Desert), it’s the same size as Lake Tahoe, which lies at the other end of the Truckee River, and lies entirely within the Paiute Tribe Reservation, which covers 740 square miles and is home to approximately 1,800 residents.
