I have for sale a Marx O-gauge wheel set
truck clip-on power pickup attachment, for illuminated cars and such. I removed this from a Marx 234 passenger car which I've converted to S-gauge. This attachment is for Marx wheel set trucks with the smaller wheels and with a distance of 1.145" between the outer edges of the axles. See pic #3 for fitment, not a part of this deal. The brass pickup shoe showed heavy use with a groove worn down its middle. I have repaired that with a piece of brass rod soldered in and filed down to the original contour. Should be good for many more O-scale miles. For the "improved" part of this item l have soldered a piece of 28-gauge wire directly to the brass pickup shoe, bypassing the very iffy electrical connection of shoe-to-spring-to-terminal, a major cause of flicker or non-operation. This wire is normally passed up into a car's chassis through a truck's hollow mounting rivet, but you can also drill a small hole in a car's chassis and pass the wire through that hole. Also, the attachment's fiberboard insulating and mounting plate was warped upwards, preventing proper operation. I have used tiny aluminum rivets to restore that plate back to flatness. BTW, these tiny aluminum rivets (1/16" diameter) are very useful and I have them offered for sale in another listing.
