Why use silicon nitride replacement igniters?
Most mosquito magnets come with a 12 volt
silicon carbide igniter as standard.
While this igniter does the job, it is fragile and is easily and frequently damaged by transportation, and general day to day use.
You may have stored your Mosquito Magnet away at the end of last year, only to find that the igniter has failed now.
The replacement silicon nitride igniter is a robust alternative and easy to install requiring the most basic tools.
If your igniter is not working, the mosquito magnet will not become warm, and will not attract and kill, no-see-ums, biting midges, black flies, and sandflies.
While we show two igniters in the photo, we are only selling one at a time. Just wanted to show the package and the igniter together
Due to international customers complaining about how long it takes for the package to arrive
we will no longer use USPS first class mail, we will only ship thru USPS priority mail, or UPS which will cost nearly three times as much.
We changed our listings to include a shipping fee for accounting purposes.
On most parts we did not change the total price.
A part that we used to charge with free shipping,
we now charge plus shipping. Nothing changed.
This is why we do not combine shipping.
