    Description

    I purchased many of these years ago in anticipation of making Reel to reel tape space echo machines for musical use. Remember the cool Roland RE-201 Space Echo that had multiple play heads and varied the speed of the tape to make cool analog echo. I wanted to make an echo machine similar using AMPEX heads for there quality in reel to reel has always been superb. Well my project never materialized and while my wife was cleaning basement she found box of heads so here we go. AMPEX Model 7680023 STEREO Playback Head for standard 1/4" Tape using 1/4 Track. Size of head is 17.1mm Wide (.6735") x 18.14mm Tall (.714") x 18.9mm Deep (.745"). DC resistance of each channel coil is approximately 60 ohms. I will check DCR of every head prior to shipping. I will offer a MAKE OFFER option but this will only apply if you start to buy in quantities.
