    Description

This is a PHOTOCOPY of a Vintage Pattern from the 1940s to make a Stuffed Teddy Bear. It measures about 14" tall when complete. The construction of the Teddy Bear goes like this: there is a gusset the runs from the tip of the nose to the back of the head; both the body and head pieces have darts for creating a fuller, rounder shape; the ears are pleated and then slipstitched into place; the arms and legs are all stitched separately and then stitched to the body a long darning needle. If you look closely at the picture, you can see the 'stud' pieces where the arms and legs are sewn on - they are cut out of leather or thick felt to strengthen the joints. The eyes are purchased. The nose and mouth are appliqued on. I include a color printout of the front cover, a black and white copy of the instructions and the complete pattern, with ENLARGED instructions for easier reading. Please email me with any questions that you have.
