Up for auction is a vintage Sony TC-580 Reel to Reel Bi Directional Recorder with Cover. This was purchased at an estate sale. As you can see in the pictures the plastic cover does have some cracks at the top and the unit itself is a little dusty. To be perfectly honest, I don't know anything about the operation of this so I can't tell you if it is working properly or not. This is what I can tell you. I plugged it in and turned on the power switch and it lit up so I know it has power. I tried pressing buttons and nothing seemed to move so it may not be fully working but again, I don't know how it is supposed to work. I am selling it under the assumption that it needs repair but who knows you may get lucky and everything works. It will be expensive to ship because it is a large unit and very heavy. I am happy for anyone to pick up if they are in the Northeast Alabama area to save on shipping. What you see in the photos is what you get. It is being sold as-is.
